• How THYMEX PLUS works
In traditional medicine, thyme is used as an expectorant, diuretic and anti-flatulent. Honey has long been used in treatment of a variety of diseases. The most important feature of honey is its antimicrobial properties. Honey is an entirely edible substance, although it seems to be a good environment for the microorganisms growth, when they exposed to honey become destroyed and moreover their remains would be destroyed over time, as honey contains antibiotics and diastase enzyme.
The antitussive and expectorant properties of Thymex Plus are probably due to the volatile essential oils and honey, which increase ciliary movement in the respiratory tracts and increase mucosal secretions. The antitussive effects of honey are attributed to its ability to dilute the secretions of the airways and improve the function of their epithelial cells.
