•    How TRIGLOW works
The pharmacologic effects of artichoke in reduction of blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels are attributed to its Caffeoylquinic Acids and Flavonoids. These compounds prevent the biosynthesis of cholesterol from alkyl acetates in liver cells. The results of a clinical study which was carried out in 2000 on the effect of artichoke on 143 patients with high cholesterol levels for 6 weeks showed the cholesterol levels of these patient to lower 10-15%. Scientists attribute this effect to the active ingredient Cynarine in this plant. The detoxifying and Hepatoprotective effects of artichoke first came into the center of attention in 1966. Scientists designed a study in which they exposed liver cells to hazardous chemicals, and then used artichoke extract to eliminate the toxicity in the liver. The results showed that the extract of this plant has a prominent role in regeneration of liver cells.
