PASIPAY
 •    Ingredients and active components
Pasipay drop is made from the standardized extract of passion flower (Passiflora incarnata L.).
Each 100 ml of this drop contains: 11-15mg Total Flavonoids as Hyperoside.
 

•    What PASIPAY is used for 

• Anti-anxiety,
• In sleep problems as hypnotic, sedative,
• As muscle relaxant,
• As an adjunct therapy in addiction.

 
•    How PASIPAY works 
Flavonoids, alkaloids and sugars are the effective components of Pasipay drop in treatment of anxiety. Apigenin and Chrysin are important flavonoids in passion flower that have agonistic effect on benzodiazepine receptors in the brain, and by inhibiting GABA catabolizing enzymes, increase GABA concentration and consequently decrease the activity of CNS and cause sedation and generate anti-anxiety effects. The most important alkaloids in passion flower are harman, harmol and harmaline that inhibit the activity of Mono Amine Oxidase (MAO) enzyme and cause sedation. Maltol and Ethylmaltol are the sugars in passion flower herb that might have sedative effects on the CNS.
 

•    Before you use PASIPAY
‎When NOT to take it 

• Children under 2 years old.
• Due to the presence of alcohol in the medication, it should be used with caution in patients with history of gastrointestinal diseases.
• This medicine may cause drowsiness, so driving or working with tools that require full alertness should be avoided.
• Patients with severe renal and hepatic failure.
• Concurrent use of Pasipay drop with Mono Amine Oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) has a synergism effect on those drugs; therefore, concurrent consumption should be avoided.

Use during Pregnancy and Lactation
It is not known whether or not it is safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women. Although it is a "natural" product, this does not necessarily mean that it is safe for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

•    Taking PASIPAY
‎How and when to ‎take it 

• Children 2-6 years old: 6 drops, three times a day and 10 drops at bedtime.
• Children 6-12 years old: 8 drops, three times a day and 20 drops at bedtime.
• Adults: 10 drops, three times a day and 25-30 drops at bedtime.
• For narcotic withdrawal: 40 drops, three times a day (with methadone).

It is better to dilute the medicine with some water before use.
‎ How long to take it 
In case of any physician recommendation, continue taking it until the visible symptoms have improved.
 
‎What to do if you miss a dose 
If you miss a dose of Pasipay, try to take it as soon as remember if it’s almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take your next dose at the regular time. Do not take two doses of it at the same time.
 

•    While you are taking PASIPAY
‎Things to be careful of‎ 

• Concurrent use of Pasipay drop with antiplatelet and anticoagulant drugs may cause bleeding.
• Concurrent use of Pasipay drop with hypnotic drugs such as benzodiazepine, tricyclic antidepressants and antihistamines may cause more sedation and mental disorder.
• Simultaneous Use of barbiturates such as pentobarbital may increase sleep duration.

 
•    Side effects 

• Mild Gastro- intestinal tract (GI) disorder such as diarrhea, abdominal cramps.
• Extreme drowsiness in case of over dose.

 
•    After taking it
‎Storage 

• Store below 25°C, keep away from direct sunlight and avoid freezing.
• Keep out of sight and reach of children.

‎Disposal 
Do not put into sewer lines. Dispose in the everyday rubbish bin.‎
