• What CAPSIDERM is used for
- Alleviation of muscle, joint and rheumatic pain
- Tendon elongation
- Pain and cramp in the muscles of the shoulders, arms, spine and leg
• How CAPSIDERM works
Muscle cramps are one of the most common conditions which are caused by a variety of factors including lack of oxygen supply to muscle tissue, imbalance in body electrolytes and bad body posture over a long period. Over the years, the two plants rosemary and chili pepper have been used to treat this condition. Rosemary increases local blood circulation and the local heat thus generated alleviates pain and inflammation. The spasmolytic effects of the essential oil of this plant, due to acetyl choline inhibition, is attributed to borneol (one of the most important constituents in rosemary oil). By inhibiting nerve receptors, the capsaicin present in chili pepper limits or inhibits the passage of pain signals from peripheral nerves to higher centers. This results in a better efficacy in relieving pain and inflammation.
