• Ingredients and active components
Musylium as natural laxative is made from Psyllium husk (Plantago ovata L.) and each sachet contains 3.4 g Psyllium husk. Musylium is produced in different flavors: orange, strawberry, banana, flavorless and Sugar Free lemon flavor.

• How MUSYLIUM works
The healing effect of Musyllium is due to psyllium husk that absorbs water, produces lots of mucilage and increases the volume of materials in colon (the bulk in your stool) and helps to cause movement of the intestines. It also works by increasing the amount of water in the stool so it becomes softer and easier to pass.
• Before you use MUSYLIUM
When NOT to take it
- Musyllium should not be used in appendicitis or in patients with signs of appendicitis, rectal bleeding with unknown origin, peptic ulcers and any adhesion in digestive tract(or Gl obstruction), colic, nausea, vomiting, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus (except sugar-free lemon flavor) and severe allergy to Psyllium husk.
- In children under 6 years old.
Use during Pregnancy and Lactation
Usage of this Fiber Supplement in pregnancy and lactation is allowed under medical supervision.
• Taking MUSYLIUM
How and when to take it
Adults: 1-2 times a day, pour 1-2 sachets of Musyllium to a glass of water or juice, stir and drink. It is recommended to take this medicinal supplement at bed time or in the morning before breakfast, with extra glasses of water.
How long to take it
In case of any physician recommendation, continue taking it until the visible symptoms have improved.

What to do if you miss a dose
If you miss a dose of Musylium, try to take it as soon as remember if it’s almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take your next dose at the regular time. Do not take two doses of it at the same time.
• While you are taking MUSYLIUM
Things you must do
- This medicine interferes with the absorption of other medicines in the two hours following ingestion. So, other medicines should be used at least two hours after taking this product.
Things to be careful of
- It should be used with caution in people who have restricted sodium intake.
- Musylium decreases absorbance of some minerals (such as calcium, magnesium, copper and zinc), vitamin B12, cardiac glycosides and coumarin derivatives.
- Concurrent use of Musylium with lithium salts decreases the plasma concentration of Lithium and prevents absorption of Lithium in the digestive tract.
- Musylium may decrease the rate and the amount of Carbamazepine absorption.
• Side effects
Temporary indigestion and flatulence may be experienced at the beginning of treatment, but they will be alleviated by continuing the treatment. Allergic reactions to Psyllium husk have also been reported.
• After taking it
Storage
- Store in a dry place, keep away from direct sunlight at 20-25 °C.
- Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Disposal
Do not put into sewer lines. Dispose in the everyday rubbish bin.
