• What RECTUS is used for
Treatment of symptoms associated with hemorrhoids (grade І and II) such as bleeding, pain, itching, burning and fissure.
• How RECTUS works
Hemorrhoids is known as one of the most common gastrointestinal diseases and results from the local damage on the anal veins during defecation, which causes bleeding and pain. The most common causes of hemorrhoids include: severe and prolonged constipation, acute and prolonged diarrhea, frequent pregnancies, and hard labor.
Anal fissure is known as a gap or rupture in the anal area and this disease occurs at any age.
The result of a clinical trial compared an ointment containing Myrtus communis oil with anti-hemorrhoids in patients suffering from grade І and II hemorrhoids showed that this product significantly reduced the amount of bleeding, pain during defecation, constant pain, itching, heaviness and burning in the anus, and statistically significant differences were observed in the symptoms of the disease before and after the treatment. Therefore, these results show that the ointment containing Myrtus communis oil can be used as an effective treatment to relieve hemorrhoids symptoms.
The active ingredients in Myrtus communis oil have antibacterial and wound healing effects. Maticaria chamomilla also has anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic effects and improves the wound. Reference books of herbal medicine have approved the topical use of Matricaria chamomilla to treat inflammation of the skin and mucous membrane, wounds and burns, bacterial infections of the skin, and anogenital inflammation.
